This month’s episode of Tech Alpharetta’s Driving Innovation podcast series features Faisal Siddiqui, CEO at Park Avenue Gaming.
Founded in 2018, Park Avenue Gaming is a full-service lottery supplier with experience in designing, building, implementing, and managing lottery systems around the globe. The company provides off-the-shelf games and solutions or works with its customers to build solutions to specific lottery requirements.
Park Avenue Gaming specializes in instant games, and has the unique selling proposition of enhancing and expanding one of the most solid and traditional areas of the lottery industry. It brings together physical and digital marketing platforms with its innovative instant win strategies.
At a very early age, Siddiqui was an entrepreneur selling donuts and coffee in the mornings during his junior year of high school. At university, he got his bachelor’s in computer science and wrote code for gaming businesses. He went on to get his MBA and moved from one company to the next learning all he could in various positions. Siddiqui learned early on that coding wasn’t his passion, but that he had a knack for understanding the business of technology.
About 12 years ago, the idea of social casinos came about, as did the opportunity for people to play online slot machines or lottery games through Facebook, Apple and Google. This led to Siddiqui’s first startup where they formed a loyalty program, where players could earn points for tangible rewards.
A few years later, an opportunity presented itself to bring a mobile-first approach to lottery management in emerging markets internationally, which was the genesis of Park Avenue Gaming.
“It’s been an up and down road to not only grow a startup but to operate in these emerging markets, which are sometimes difficult to navigate,” shares Siddiqui. “It i challenging to have to get up to speed on the different regulations and laws that each country has in this space.”
Siddiqui found the greater Atlanta and Alpharetta area to be a perfect fit as a mini hub for gaming and lottery systems.
Headquartered in Alpharetta, Park Avenue Gaming is one of the thriving tech companies in the city’s downtown district. “It’s the perfect place to be for our employees since it’s walking distance to shops, restaurants and the park,” says Siddiqui. “Alpharetta provides a great talent pool and helps us attract new talent as well.”
