Melissa Bishop Murphy is the senior director of government relations at Pfizer. For nearly 26 years, she has supported the global biopharmaceutical company on state and federal legislation that impacts the ability of patients to get access to innovative therapies.
The bioscience company is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year and benefits greatly from being involved in the local communities it serves. Partnering with Tech Alpharetta enables Pfizer to connect with a new pipeline of scientists and therapies for potential collaborations. It also offers a gathering place to share best practices and improve the workforce pipeline that companies like Pfizer seek.
Speaking to Alpharetta’s growing tech community, Melissa shared her excitement for its potential to rival some of the nation’s largest biotech and tech communities, such as Massachusetts and North Carolina’s Research Triangle.
