Tech Alpharetta Launches Industry Interface Program with $10,000 Contribution from AT&T
Contribution enables expansion of tech startup incubator programming
ALPHARETTA, Dec. 10, 2019 — Efforts to help Alpharetta innovators connect to resources that drive success got a boost today thanks to AT&T. AT&T’s $10,000 contribution to Tech Alpharetta, a local organization helping grow technology and innovation in the City of Alpharetta, enables the nonprofit to continue expanding programming in its tech startup incubator.
Tech Alpharetta’s CEO, Karen Cashion, notes that “Tech Alpharetta is grateful for its collaboration with AT&T. We are committed to helping grow technology and innovation, and with AT&T’s generous support, we can continue to expand our incubator’s programs to connect our member startups with the resources they need in order to develop new technologies. In particular, AT&T’s donation will enable the launch of our new Industry Interface program that will connect area enterprise companies with founders from our startup ecosystem.”
In addition to hosting tech thought leadership events in Alpharetta that annually serve more than 1,000 area industry executives, Tech Alpharetta runs the Tech Alpharetta Innovation Center, a key incubator that is home to more than 50 tech startup companies. The Innovation Center focuses on championing young companies to grow and thrive by providing its members with educational programs, mentoring, resources and workspace. Since opening its incubator in 2015, Tech Alpharetta has graduated 10 companies, which in turn, help to grow jobs and fuel the economy in Alpharetta, Fulton County and across Georgia.
City of Alpharetta Mayor Jim Gilvin added “AT&T is a valued and longtime member of Alpharetta’s business community, and we very much appreciate AT&T’s investment in Alpharetta and in Tech Alpharetta’s incubator programs. AT&T’s donation will help Tech Alpharetta to connect its startups to our area enterprise businesses, and it’s these connections that can help to spark new partnerships and alliances that will benefit both groups.”
“Our community is a proud leader in the tech industry. Providing our tech startups with opportunities to connect to educational programs, mentoring and resources is vital to their success,” stated Don Barbour, AT&T Georgia Regional Director of External Affairs. “AT&T is proud to support Tech Alpharetta, a fundamental support for local innovators that is driving positive impact in our community and state by helping our tech startups to succeed in bringing new technologies to market.”
